FSI has committed to attaining ‘Net Zero’ Emissions by 2050.
One of the fundamental pillars of the current FSI Strategy document is Climate and Sustainability.
FSI has procured expert Climate and Sustainability Advisers to provide advice and assistance to FSI in relation to all things Climate and Sustainability.
Various Laboratories within FSI will be applying for ‘My Green Lab’ Certification, over the course of 2025 and 2026.
FSI is one of a limited number of Organisations, at present, to have attained Smarter Travel Mark status from the National Transport Authority.
FSI is also a Smarter Travel Partner of the National Transport Authority.
FSI has been awarded EcoMerit Environmental Certification.
FSI has rolling biannual Climate and Sustainability Initiatives Plans, which are drafted in conjunction with the FSI Climate and Sustainability expert advisers, and which are implemented by the FSI Green Team.
Currently, the Plans deal with:
- Energy;
- Waste and Paper;
- Water;
- Training;
- Green Procurement; and
- ‘My Green Lab’ Certification.
The current FSI Climate and Sustainability Champion is Dr. Dorothy Ramsbottom, the FSI Director of Corporate Services.
